Paris – Je t’aime!
France lebt in Paris und hat uns ihre Geheimtipps verraten. Sie ist Mama und außerdem Gründerin der Josefina Bags - Wickeltaschen die sehr hübsch und sehr funktional sind...(Bild: blurb)
France lives in Paris. She is married and has two children, Olivia 4 years and Axel 18 months.
She worked in the cosmetic industry for ten years and when she had her first baby, she realized that it was going to be difficult to well-balance motherhood and work. That’s why she decided to create her own project „Josefina“ in order to work from home and be freer to take care of the kids (not to work less of course because when you get involved in your own project your work is in fact much more intense…). Smallable for Kids
Smallable for the kids: The best selection of brands for children clothes and interiors! You are going to buy everything!
Nature & Découvertes
Many fabulous toys and articles for children about nature and adventure. You can also have workshop for children. The store is amazing! In the heart of ‚The Marais‘
Many stores in The Marais… Zadig&Voltaire, Maje, Sandro…
For interiors I love the Caravane store (6 rue Pave, 75003) In the Marais too.
And of course the newest concept store Sézane (they are actually remodeling the store so you should check before going): I don’t know any Parisian girl that don’t have a pair of boots or a bag form this new brand by Morgane Sézalory. The must haves are the ‘High Hunter’ boots and the ‘Clark’ bag.
Nice Restaurants / Cafés
For coffee or teatime:
Merci Paris in the Marais, perfect to stop by when you are shopping in the Marais. It’s above all, a concept store for fashion and interiors.
A classic but always nice: La Durée for Tea Time and Macarrons.
Restaurants (you need to book in advance and you can go with children better for lunch than dinner):
Monsieur Bleu with amazing views to the Tour Eiffel near Le Palais de Tokyo.
Paparazzi: Super pizzas and pasta! (The pizzas are HUGE so take one for two or 3 people).
Le Derrière (69 Rue des Gravilliers, 75003 Paris) in The Marais is very fun! You feel like you are dining at some friend’s apartment: you can have a french diner in the lounge, dining room or even the bedroom!
Hotel Bachaumont for coffee or lunch.
Très Particulier in Montmartre: for lunch, dinner or coffee.
French Burgers: Big Fernand
Piscine Molitor: Fabulous brunch in this new hotel (and expensive 75euros).
Things to do with kids (sunshine and rainy days)
Definitely one of my favorite places is The Jardin d’Acclimatation, near the Louis Vuitton Foundation: you have carousel, a little farm and a poney club. At winter time you have an ice rink. You also have children activities or ateliers at LV Foundation.
The Tour Eiffel
The Tour Eiffel is a classic but very efficient for children… They love it! (I recommend to buy the tickets in advance).
The Grand Palais
In the Grand Palais visits and activities for children.
La Grande Galerie de l’Evolution
La Grande Galerie de l’Evolution: In a beautiful 19th-century iron structure you have another kids friendly museum of the evolution. The most incredible part is the procession of African wildlife (real-size animal) that looks like the procession into Noah’s Ark. It’s impressive!!
Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris
Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris: in the Museum of modern art in Paris you also have activities for children during the exhibition you need to book in advance (In this moment there is a Warhol Exhibition).
Musée du Louvre
Musée du Louvre: passionnating just for a walk with children and also have workshops you need to book in advance.
Acquarium de Paris
Acquarium de Paris: VERY beautiful.
And another activity is a ride in the Bateau Mouches (very touristic but very nice to do with children) that are coated to protect you if it’s raining.
You can also try the Yoga classes for children (and even mum + baby) at The TigreYoga
Sights for and with kids
You always have a large variety of sights for children in Paris.
I use to check this website very often where you can find all the activities.
You have all the info about Musicals (for example you have Raiponce actually), Theaters, Cinema festivals, Cultural activities (for example The Chinese parade in Paris for the New Years Eve), or the Cooking classes for kids in The Grand Palais…
You have everything the difficult part is choosing what to do!
